For those of you who missed out on the last free gift I have some more on offer for you.
Namely I have 3 unmounted mint pairs of the 16p Machin with a D under print to give away.
These came from a special booklet, which was first in an occasional series on the British Countryside
The cover of the booklet shows Lyme Regis in Dorset and had face value of £1.60.
The booklet was sold to the public at 15p off (£1.45). Royal Mail instructed the printers (Harrisons) to overprint the gum of the stamps with the letter D to show that these were of the discounted variety, I presume to stop retailers from selling them at face.
Anyway I have three pairs and three single stamps to give away, perforations vary from good - average and trimmed. They will be offered (1 pair and 1 single ) to 3 readers who email me on a first come first served basis free of charge. My Email address is gbmachins@lineone.net
Again to keep down my costs I do ask that you pay the postage, which is £1.20 Europe and £1.55 the rest of the world.
Two more to go, The first goes to James Clarkson of Scotland , well done James
Good luck.!
