Arnold Machin Tidbit

A while ago I searched Google Books to see what they had regarding Arnold Machin. I came across a book titled The Mining Engineer published by the Institution of Mining Engineers in 1994. Included in it was a publication from 1969. The small excerpt which was displayed to me was:

Mr Arnold Machin, OBE, RA has been commissioned to design the gold medal to be given to winners of the recently announced £25,000 MacRobert award for engineers. This award is hailed as "a Nobel prize for engineers."

I thought you would like to know.
